What equipment do I need to make Glazed Baked Chocolate Donuts?

  • 2x donut trays

  • Bowls

  • Oven

  • Sieve

  • Whisk

  • Microwave

What ingredients do I need to make Glazed Baked Chocolate Donuts?

  • eggs

  • caster sugar

  • melted butter

  • plain flour

  • baking powder

  • vanilla paste

  • cocoa

  • full fat greek yoghurt

  • milk

  • icing sugar

Substitutions

  • milk- the milk can be substituted with almost any milk alternative

  • melted butter- butter can be substituted with any dairy free butter

Some tips and tricks before you get started

  • make sure all ingredients are room temperature before beginning, otherwise your mixture will end up lumpy.

  • cool the donuts completely before dipping them in the glaze. You can speed up the cooling process by popping them in the freezer or fridge (once they have cooled a little, you don't want to put piping hot baked good in the freezer or fridge) until completely cooled.

  • do not over mix!!! The donuts will end up like rocks

  • if the glaze forms a slight crust on top, microwave for 10 second bursts until the crust has melted.

Storage.

The donuts are best consumed the same day of baking. They can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days, however the glaze could potentially dissolve in the fridge.
